Most frequently asked questions about contributions

Yes, if you are a member and work in education, you can request part of your contribution back every year. Look at here step by step how to do this.

Our account number is as follows: NL18ABNA0435020986

If you live within the European Union, England or Switzerland, your contribution will be automatically debited. If you live somewhere else, you will receive an invoice by email.

The contribution is debited every 26th of the month. If this falls on a weekend or a holiday, it will happen a day later. You cannot adjust this date yourself.

After a few failed attempts from the bank, we would like to receive the contribution manually. This can be done on account number: NL18ABNA0435020986.

We would like to receive the contribution no later than 30 days after the invoice date.

Send an email to info@aob.nl. Do not forget to include your membership number, name, address details and bank account number.

Contact us by email or telephone. Please state the payment date, account number and payment description. We will then check whether we have received the amount.

We process cancellations quarterly. For example, if you cancel your membership in February, you will remain a member until the end of March.

It is possible that the processing of the new data and the collection of the contribution took place simultaneously. The amount will be debited from your new account from next month.

If you don't know why this problem occurs, please send an email to info@aob.nl.

Unfortunately, both of these are not possible. You are responsible for reporting changes in your work status. This is stated in the conditions when taking out a membership.

No, you cannot do this yourself. Working members will receive the union contribution letter by email in mid-September. Did you not receive this? Send us an email and include your membership number, zip code and date of birth. We will then (again) send an email with the letter.

When you cancel your membership you will receive a confirmation email. Attached you will find the union dues refund letter that you can hand in at the school.
