As AObmember you will receive the Education magazine ten times a year. The magazine contains a mix of hard news, background stories, opinions and practical facts about employment conditions. The magazine of the AOb is the trade magazine for education staff and according to media research by the Ministry of Education has the greatest impact score among employees in education. Articles from the Education Magazine frequently provoke parliamentary questions and the magazine is nominated almost annually for the National Prize for Educational Journalism.

Archive

Grasduin in more than ten thousand articles from more than twenty years of the Onderwijsblad. All articles that have appeared in the Education Magazine since 1999 can be found in the online archive.

Opinions

The Education Magazine is a journalistic magazine and is therefore also produced by journalists. For that reason, you cannot deliver articles yourself. Unless they're opinion pieces. An opinion that deserves a podium? Respond to an article? Mail to education magazine @aob. Nl Please mention name and position. An opinion article in the Education Journal has about 700 words and consists of a clear argument, written down smoothly. We receive more articles every month than we can post and get in touch if we want to publish an article.

Letters

Letters are shorter than an opinion piece and we have more space for letters. Letters sent in can be sent to education magazine @aob. Nl Please state your name and place of residence. We are very happy with feedback from members. The editors learn from it and the post pages are read well. But also for letters, we receive more than we can post. We do not correspond about whether or not to place letters. The editors reserve the right to shorten letters and documents.

Ideas

Suggestions for articles and tips for editors are greatly appreciated. Send it to education magazine @aob. Nl Please include a phone number. Because we also receive many emails with subject suggestions from people who want to sell something, we unfortunately do not get around to responding to all emails. If there is no immediate response to an idea or tip, it does not necessarily mean that we will not do anything with the submitted topic. Sometimes we first have to look for additional sources or we have a full schedule. Many suggestions are kept for a while.

Reader panel

Do you have ideas about how the Education Magazine can be improved? Would you like to say something about the layout or subject selection? Do you like to take a closer look at a copy? Then sign up for the Education Magazine readers panel via education magazine @aob. Nl This panel occasionally meets in the evenings in Utrecht and advises the editors of the Onderwijsblad on the content of the magazine. When composing the panel, we aim for a diverse structure, in terms of education sector, age and position.

Subscriptions

The Education Magazine is published in a circulation of 82.500 copies. Members of the AOb get the sheet automatically. Non-members and companies can take out a subscription for €129 per year. Mail to info@aob.nl
