Willingness to take action in all education sectors high
In all education sectors, there is a great willingness to take action among teachers, support staff and other staff. The AOb surveyed in November 2018 whether members want to continue campaigning.
In all education sectors (primary education, secondary education, MBO and HBO), more than eight in ten employees are willing to take action.
The willingness to take action is greatest in primary education at 97 percent. This is followed by colleagues who work in secondary education with 93 percent. In MBO this is a percentage of 91 percent and in HBO it is 89 percent.
Action form
There is a slight preference for sector-wide campaigns, according to the member poll. The preference for a nationwide strike or demonstration is greatest.
Yesterday announced de AOb indicates that new actions are coming. From 11 to 15 March, there will be an action week with a final national strike for all education sectors in The Hague. Just before the provincial council elections on March 20, 2019, the AOb make it clear that there is one investment plan necessary for education. The cabinet must allocate 4 billion euros to tackle the problems, such as the high workload, in education, the AOb.
