Teachers in primary and secondary education will have access to the priority procedure for corona tests from Monday. The school leader must give permission.

The priority procedure at the GGD is intended to prevent the loss of teaching time as much as possible. According to the protocol, there must be 'unexpectable cancellation of lessons and/or sending a class home'.
The school leader determines per employee whether the latter is the case. The director must make an 'honest and cautious assessment' about this, according to the priority protocol. "Priority for one means extra waiting time for the other."
The priority regulation is temporary and expires when the laboratories can test quickly enough again reports the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
Approach
• The employee with corona-related complaints reports to the school leader.
• The school leader checks whether the employee is eligible for the priority procedure, with the central question being whether 'the continuity of the primary process' is endangered.

• The employee calls a special telephone number and makes an appointment.
• The employee is tested the same or the next day (in principle between 09.00:12.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX) at one of the regional test locations. Any negative result of the test will appear on www.coronatest.nl, where the employee can log in with her or his DigiD. If the result is positive, the GGD will contact the employee within 24 hours after the test. This must then be quarantined.
