AOb-candidates ABP election right in front of teacher pensions
The candidates standing on behalf of the AOb candidates for a place in the Accountability Council at the ABP pension fund are known. From April 4, participants and pensioners can vote at the ABP. View our candidates and positions.

The Accountability Council of the ABP pension fund provides the board with solicited and unsolicited advice, for example on sustainable investment and the way in which the ABP board should implement this. Afterwards, the body checks whether the board has acted correctly. Its members represented the three million people who are members of the ABP. These are employees and retirees from education, government, military and police.
Seats
As of this summer, nineteen seats will become available on the Accountability Body for candidates who act on behalf of the employees (also known as participants). The retirees are allowed to fill thirteen seats. The remaining seats are for the employers. The AOb has candidates for both groups who stand for election.
There are, for example, eleven candidates who are represented in the Accountability Council on behalf of the AOb stand up for the workers. Another eight candidates want to do this for the retirees† On the ABP website they introduce themselves and let them know what they want to commit themselves to.

De AObcandidates are part of the FNV-ACOP faction. This faction wants the new pension contract to provide for an indexed pension for every participant. In addition, 'green and social' is the theme for this group. 'Caring for our environment and the climate is of great importance to leave a liveable world for our (grand)children. This means that we want work to be done on a fair climate transition and that companies in which pension money is invested', according to the FNV-ACOP faction.
