Pension action 29 May: Join the fight for a good pension
The unions FNV, CNV and CVP will campaign throughout the Netherlands on 29 May for a good pension. Can you attend one of the four action events in Groningen, Arnhem, The Hague or Eindhoven on that day? Then join the fight for a good pension. The more people participate, the better.

After months of talking and negotiating with the cabinet and employers, the negotiations about a pension agreement are deadlocked. The unions are therefore taking action on May 29. The education unions are not calling for a strike, but the AOb does ask members to to attend one of the four action meetings.
Iron
De AOb wants everyone to be able to retire on time and enjoy their old age without financial worries. The requirements of the union are therefore:
- Freeze the state pension age at 66 years and scrape the fine for early retirement
- Index the pensions for each generation
- A good pension for everyone, including the self-employed and people with flex contracts
Do not accept
“The cabinet is still not doing anything about the rising state pension age,” says AObdriver Douwe van der Zweep. He is involved with pension policy from the AOb. “Anyone who is now 25 years old and starts working in education will not receive AOW until the age of 71. That is unfeasible for many people in education. The sector is already a burnout champion. This will only get worse with the AOW plans. ” Van der Zweep therefore calls on members to take action. “Get moving on the national action day. We don't accept that we have to keep working until we drop. ”

The promotions are spread over different regions and start everywhere at 11.00 a.m. and last until 13.00 p.m. As a member of the AOb you get free transport to one of the four cities where the action meetings are. You can register via this form. Come to one of the action meetings, a good pension is a matter of decency!
