Can working days be changed just like that?
Miss Irene's working days are being adjusted. Irene disagrees. She has geared her working days to those of her partner and she also has fixed days at her daughter's out-of-school care. What can she do best?

Getting the last weeks AOb-employees report from primary education that teachers are being surprised about their planned working days for next school year. The reason is often put forward that it concerns apparently 'necessary' changes in the schedule and the initiative for this almost always lies with the employer. Such is the case with Irene.
What about? Chapter 2 of the collective labor agreement states that the work distribution plan is established through input from the employees. That is to say: the employer outlines the framework for what must be done in the coming school year. The employees will work with this information and make agreements about the division of work. The employer then draws up a draft work allocation plan based on these discussions, which then has to go through the team and the participation council.
It seems that Irene's employer is taking charge, while this is not the intention of the work division plan. The advice to Irene is therefore to enter into discussions with her colleagues and the participation council and to point out to the employer the correct steps in drawing up the work distribution plan.
