Legal advice: Will I receive additional travel allowance?
On days when she normally does not work, a primary school teacher comes to school for study days, Saint and Christmas celebrations, and participation council meetings. Her question: does my employer have to pay out extra travel allowance?

No additional travel costs need to be reimbursed for activities at a primary school that are included in the annual schedule. “These activities are part of the annual task and then fall under working hours”, says Wim Gulitz of the Information and Advice Center of the AOb.
“A study day or Saint and Christmas celebration at school has then become a regular working day and falls under commuting for which you receive a monthly allowance. The travel costs are a fixed amount per month, depending on the number of working days. You will also continue to be paid the allowance during holidays, except for the summer holidays. That is why you can travel to school for an extra day without additional compensation. ”

On the heath
This is different for a study day on the heath. Gulitz: “An activity at a location other than your own school counts as a business trip, for which an additional fee applies. A business trip is a trip that, other than as referred to in the home-work compensation scheme, is made on behalf of the employer. ” The reimbursement is 28 cents gross per kilometer (net 19 cents) or based on public transport, second class rate.
Costs that an employee incurs to attend a meeting of the participation council fall under the mr budget of the school. “You can declare these travel costs to the mr,” says Gulitz.
