Interim director of Geldrop schools is leaving
Interim director Ed Knies, who works at the Geldropse Nutsscholen, is leaving. The supervisory board reported this in a letter to parents last Monday. Knies does this at his own request.

There has already been a lot of unrest at the three primary schools in Geldrop. In March The crisis got out of hand: 65 teachers reported sick en masse, so the students were not taught for a day. The teams did this in protest against the culture of fear in the schools and also to issue an ultimatum to the supervisory board and the board.
After their action, the entire supervisory board and the director resigned. The next day the teachers went back to work.

Now the supervisory board is informing by letter that interim director Knies is leaving. He is interim director at two of the three primary schools of the Nutsscholen Foundation in Geldrop: the Beneden Beekloopschool and the Ganzebloemschool. In the Eindhovens Dagblad he said a day after the massive sick report from teachers that he would be looking for three new directors for the utility schools. These should get to work next school year.
The supervisory board also writes that this week they will be asking advice from the participation councils on the succession of Knies. Sytske Klarenbeek is older and very surprised by the letter. “Especially since it comes three weeks before the end of the school year. It is a very unpleasant situation and causes unrest again. Moreover, I question how this went now. ”
The current chairman of the supervisory board, Yvonne Raaijmakers, was not available. Employees at the Beneden Beekloopschool let it be known that Knies does not want to respond.
