AOb temporarily suspends actions
De AOb temporarily suspends the 'third Tuesday actions' due to the corona virus. "We think that the priorities now lie with the corona crisis. Taking action is not appropriate," says AObdriver Tamar van Gelder.

These days show just how important the public sector is. Care, education and the police are indispensable and the pressure is high because of all the measures surrounding the corona virus. All schools will remain closed until April 6, and teaching staff is now working hard on how they can still offer innovative lessons to ensure that education continues as well as possible.
De AOb therefore suspend the 'Third Tuesday action', at least until April 6. "We believe that the priorities now lie with the corona crisis," says Van Gelder. "Taking action is not appropriate. When this crisis is over, we must talk to the cabinet about investing in education very quickly."
In recent weeks, the AOb action to address teacher shortages. Teachers, students, parents and everyone else involved could report a lesson cancellation via the website. This 'Pull the bell' action has now ended and the hotline has been taken offline today.
