Team leaders, department leaders, deputy principals, directors: as a school management in secondary education you play a crucial role within your school. You are important for protecting and increasing the professional space and autonomy of all teachers and educational professionals within your school. It AOb leadership program is a program especially for you. It is important that you continue to professionalize, learn from each other and that your position within education is strengthened. Why a leadership program?

In recent years, the profession of school leader has become more challenging, complex and demanding. This is because they are constantly faced with challenges, such as the teacher shortage, increased workload, team dynamics, inequality of opportunity and the impact of technology on education.

To ensure the continued delivery of good education for students, it is essential that school leaders continue to professionalize, that their position is strengthened inside and outside the school and that they learn from each other. With this program we want to focus on this together with you. The aim is to optimally equip school management to motivate, support and inspire educational professionals, so that they experience job satisfaction and can offer students the best education.

Our commitment to school leaders

As a AOb we focus on all educational professionals, including school leaders. Over the next three years the AOb develop and implement this program for this group. Our primary target group within this program is the non-ultimately responsible school leader in secondary education.

We want you to be able to take your position with autonomy and ambition and we want to help you deal with the complex role that school leaders play in education

We create a connecting network where school leaders can collaborate and exchange experiences

Yes, I am interested!

Thinker

You think along every now and then. You join work sessions and use your network to further increase the reach of the program.

Co-designer

You are available for half a day per month. During this time you are scheduled from school tasks and are really helping to shape the contours of the program. You increase the reach of the program with your efforts and network.

Co-worker

You are really part of the program team and contribute to the implementation of the program. The time commitment for this is approximately 8 -12 hours per month. In this role you also act as an ambassador to the outside world and, for example, participate in relevant meetings and networks. You are (together with others) the face of the program.
