Negotiations on collective labor agreements for universities of applied sciences take more time
Collective bargaining in higher professional education takes longer. The unions and the employers' organization Association of Universities of Applied Sciences announced this today.
De current collective labor agreement runs until April 1, 2023. The AOb is at the beginning of March together with the other parties to the collective labor agreement - FNV, FvOv, CNV Education and the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences - started negotiations on a new collective labor agreement.
The delegations have recently explained the proposals to each other. It has been agreed that the proposals will be further elaborated in working groups in order to arrive at (draft) texts for inclusion in the new collective labor agreement.
Summer
That process will not be completed before April 1, 2023. The intention is to reach an agreement as soon as possible, but before the summer. Until then, the existing agreements will continue. Pursuant to the Collective Labor Agreement Act, the current collective labor agreement has been tacitly extended by a maximum of one year. This means that all agreements will remain in force after April 1 until a new collective labor agreement is concluded.
