Zadkine College fires defrauding teachers
The Rotterdam Zadkine College wants to fire two employees who were involved in the exam fraud of the Logistics program.
The school has gone to the subdistrict court to dissolve the employment contracts, Robbert Poort, Zadkine spokesperson, confirms. The third person involved previously resigned himself.
Last June, exam fraud came to light at the MBO logistics level 3 programme. Sixty individual exams were declared invalid and 41 students had to retake their tests. The teachers had discussed exactly the same questions in their lessons and exam training sessions that later returned in the exams.
Involved
Spokesman Poort said that the school had investigated the fraud by two external agencies. “Both studies showed that only these people were involved in the fraud, among other things to achieve a good grade percentage. The studies indicate that there is reason to request dismissal. That's annoying enough. ”
Earlier, the school already put the three employees on non-active. The fraud came about because two other employees had reported to a confidential advisor.

There were also problems with attendance registration at the school. Education Alderman Hugo de Jonge reported last week to the Rotterdam city council that it will be able to give a definite answer in October on what scale the absenteeism registration went wrong.
