Work pressure kills college teachers
Almost half of the HBO employees think the work pressure is too high or much too high. 11 percent therefore called in sick. At the Hogeschool van Amsterdam it is even worse. "I'm going to look for another job."

This month, the Education Magazine explains how the workload is increasing in higher professional education. Rogier Haas, electrical engineering teacher at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, among others, says that the rack is over.
At the start of this school year, Haas learned that he is scheduled for 26 teaching hours per week and that there is also 0,4 FTE left over in which he can supervise students who are working on their internship or graduation assignment. "It's the old song again, I'm packed."
