What you need to know about the strike benefit
Will your wages be withheld because of the strike? And are you a member of the AOb, or do you want to be? Then you will receive a maximum of 61 euros refunded by the union.

The strike payment of 61 euros is for a whole day and is tax-free. If you work fewer hours on the day of the strike, you will be paid in proportion to the working time. To claim the strike benefit you must do the following:
- You strike on strike day.
- You register as a striker.
- You keep an eye on your salary. When your board withholds wages, they must indicate this on your pay slip. That will probably be this or next month.
- You make in due course a copy of the relevant salary slip.
- Je downloads the loss of wages form and sends that together with a copy of your pay slip to: Algemene Onderwijsbond in the name of the board, Antwoordnummer 4332, 3500 VE Utrecht. A stamp is not required.
