Ultimatum expired: Actions will continue
The stated ultimatum of the AOb, FNV Education & Research and FvOv to Education Ministers Ingrid van Engelshoven and Arie Slob passed yesterday without any promises from the ministers. This means that the actions will continue in March and the national strike on March 15th.
In a letter the unions shared their demands with the ministers. For education as a whole: from primary education to universities, 4 billion euros is needed. Van Engelshoven and Slob were able to announce that they would meet the requirements until February 25, 10.00:XNUMX.

Now that the ministers have not done this, the unions are calling on their supporters to take action. There will be an action week from 11 to 14 March, which will conclude on 15 March with a national education strike in The Hague. According to the unions, investments are urgently needed to maintain the quality of education and to make the profession attractive. While the announcement in January said AObchair Liesbeth Verheggen: 'This cabinet focuses on tax relief for companies, while we all benefit more from good education.'
