Strike counter increases quickly
More than eleven thousand teachers and other employees from primary education have now confirmed that they will be coming to The Hague on strike day 5 October. The counter on the website of the PO front stood at 11.530 this morning and will increase much further in the coming week.

Earlier called AObchairman Liesbeth Verheggen already set out to come to The Hague. “It's thunderstorms, it's storming, the water is at the top of the dike. We call that code red. We have known this for a long time in education, but politics is slowly being convinced. That is why there is every reason for primary education to strike. We really need to go to The Hague en masse. ”
The PO front, where the AOb together with other unions, the AVS and PO in Actie, is calling on members to strike for a fair salary and a lower workload. Recently, OECD figures confirmed that the low salaries make it difficult to solve the teacher shortage. Especially in the Netherlands.
