At the beginning of April, the unions came to an agreement with the employers' organization VO Council negotiator agreement. AObdirector Henrik de Moel said about the agreement that it 'did not become a polonaise' because no agreements could be made about the workload.
“We wanted to use the wage margin that is now available. Had we left the negotiations, there might not have been a pay rise. Because these are such uncertain times, we wanted to drag in that wage increase, ”says De Moel.

According to the AObdirector, the pay increase of 2,75 percent this month can be found on the pay slip of "many colleagues". De Moel: “Just take a good look, because the holiday pay is also paid and in May employees will also receive the retroactive pay increase for the months of March and April 2020. Some payroll processors were unable to arrange this in May. That is why some people only get their pay rise retroactively in June.”
