Preventive testing in education is cancelled
Education staff, students and pupils no longer have to take a preventive self-test twice a week. Health Minister Ernst Kuipers announced today that this advice will expire. "Unfortunately, it is still not 'business as usual' in education", responds AObchairman Tamar van Gelder.

Around noon, Kuipers held a press moment to announce further relaxations. For example, working from home will no longer be necessary from March 23 to combat the corona pandemic and the mouth cap can also be removed in public transport.
Don't worry under pressure
The minister said that the number of infections is high at 45 to 50 thousand per day - and that many infections can be seen in the over-50 age category in particular - but that the hospitals and ICs can handle it well. “We see high numbers of infections, but also that the pressure on healthcare is not too bad.”
Urgent advice
In all education sectors there was an 'urgent advice' to do a preventive self-test twice a week. This also applied to vaccinees and to pupils from group 6 in primary education. A self-test was not compulsory, but on a voluntary basis. In case of complaints, it is still necessary to do a self-test. If this test is positive, an appointment with the GGD is required and people must remain in isolation for another five days.
