More than five hundred members of the ABP pension fund do not have to repay partner supplement that has been wrongly received. The MAX Ombudsman and the ABP Accountability Body asked for leniency.

More than 2013 ABP participants received too much pension between 2019 and XNUMX, because SVB had passed on incorrect data to ABP. The excess pension received had to be formally repaid. According to ABP, however, this led to incomprehension because the participants did not know that they received too high a pension. The repayment scheme has now been canceled, amounts already repaid will be paid back to the participants.
From now on, the participants will receive the correct pension
Earlier, MAX Ombudsman protested against the recovery of the wrongly received allowance. The ABP Accountability Council - an important adviser to ABP - also asked for leniency. “I am pleased that ABP has resolved the issue in this way and has apologized to the participants,” says Iris Offermans.
