Education cooperative returns support for teacher register to minister

The board believes that control over the teachers' register should rest entirely with teachers. “When the register was set up, the board has always given itself a temporary role. The time has now come to step away from that role."
The further implementation of the register (and of the entire law, of which the register forms part) is legally in the hands of the 'participants' meeting' of the Education Cooperative. This participants' meeting is split off from the cooperative.
Criticism
In recent months there has been growing criticism that the teachers' register is mainly a matter for the unions and trade unions. “We will unconditionally make room for teachers as soon as possible to make the implementation of the law a success”, states the board of the Education Cooperative.
