De AOb will hold a large number of live meetings and events together with the FNV from April 2, 2024 webinars to update you on the new pension scheme at ABP. In the meetings the negotiators will explain the result achieved and you can ask questions.

It has been there since the end of December a negotiator's agreement on main points for a new pension scheme at the ABP pension fund. This agreement is necessary because of the new Pension Act, which ensures that all pension funds will have to deal with new rules.
From the AOb pension advisor Roelf van der Ploeg negotiated this new pension scheme. The starting point was to 'maintain a pension with purchasing power' for all ABP participants. According to Van der Ploeg, this has been successful. "Nobody will lose out under normal economic scenarios." The agreement for the new pension scheme includes compensation for employees between the ages of 45 and 65. This was necessary, because otherwise this group might have worsened in the new system due to the abolition of the average premium.
The appointment is also over the survivor's pension catches the eye. If the insured person dies, the surviving relative will receive 41 percent of the last salary on the account every month," says the AOb-pension advisor. “Children who remain behind also receive 25 percent of their final salary until the age of 7.” The lowest incomes benefit most from this agreement. But this is also a better arrangement for middle incomes, but it remains the same for the very highest incomes.
