The cutbacks that are now being imposed on all education sectors are the result of the gap in the education budget that the old Rutte II cabinet passed on to the new Rutte III cabinet. This is not too bad for 2018, because the Ministry of Finance is temporarily helping out, but after that the cutbacks will increase rapidly.
