In the current collective labor agreement, every employee is entitled to a 30-minute break between ten o'clock and two o'clock in the afternoon for a working day of 5,5 hours or longer. From 1 August 2019, according to the new collective labor agreement for primary education, the team must make agreements about the times when employees can enjoy a break. The break does not necessarily have to be between ten and two hours.

For example, employees have more say and there is room for customization at school level. The duration of the break -30 minutes for employees who work longer than 5,5 hours- is regulated by law and will not change.
During a break you have no obligation to perform any work. In short, your employer may not burden you with tasks or responsibilities of any kind. You are basically free to stand and go wherever you want. This can only be different in very special circumstances (for example due to calamities) and you can be expected to perform unforeseen work.
