Commitment to new CLA for MBO announced
Wage increase, an individual right to professionalisation and agreements to reduce the workload. That is the stakes of the AOb at the start of a new round of negotiations in MBO.

For example, the unions - like the entire FNV - are aiming for a wage increase of 5 percent for all MBO employees. Tamar van Gelder, on behalf of the AOb realistically negotiating for MBO: "For that something has to be done in The Hague, because that 5 percent is not in the budget at the moment."
The negotiators also hope to make agreements about workload, such as about the workload plans for the institutions. Van Gelder: "We believe that the right to inaccessibility should be established." Earlier on The Education Magazine wrote that the PvdA has submitted a bill for this. This proposal means that employees make agreements with their employer about their accessibility during their free time.

The effects of corona can be seen in the inset. Thus argues the AOb for a home working allowance of 3 euros per day and it must be stated in the collective labor agreement that teachers only use one teaching method and do not teach a class at the same time physically and digitally. For the AOb it is also important to scale up teachers and to offer career prospects. Van Gelder: “We really want to make agreements about that. It is important that the LC function becomes a pivotal function that most teachers will be involved in. It should also be possible to progress in the classroom. Now you get a higher position if you coordinate, manage or lead projects and therefore disappear from the class. We want to make progress in the classroom possible. That should really be arranged in the new collective labor agreement, but we have a very different view than the employers. We want to record this nationally, they want to leave it to the institutions.”

An individual right to professionalisation is another wish of the unions. This is already available in primary and secondary education, but not yet in MBO. There are team budgets for training. The unions want to convert this into an individual training right of about XNUMX clock hours per year.
Cancelled
Negotiations start this month. The current CLA in MBO expired on May 15 and has been terminated by the unions. This means that the individual rights remain, but the collective rights have been canceled.
The deployment of the AOb in a nutshell:

- Older employees must be able to reach their retirement in good health. The pension agreement contains a favorable arrangement for this: an exemption from the Early Retirement Scheme (RVU). Normally, employers pay a high levy if employees stop working earlier, but if you use this for a generation pact in which you work less as an older employee, an exemption applies. At the moment there is a great inequality within MBO between employees who make use of such a generation pact. The unions want to agree on a regulation at every MBO institution in the institutional consultation
