Many one-off payments this month
In primary education, teachers receive a nice net amount in incidental benefits this month. The amount can rise to more than a thousand euros for a full-time job. AObnegotiator Anton Bodegraven lists the benefits that a full-time teacher receives in the month of October: “A Teacher's Day benefit (200 euros), a supplementary payment of 42 percent of the new monthly wage and a one-off payment of 750 euros gross. This one-off benefit is also available to school leaders and educational support staff. The payslip this month is a nice one,” says Bodegraven. The net amount that teachers can receive incidentally amount to more than a thousand euros.
New salary scale
From September the new wages for teachers came into effect: the LA salary scale has been abolished and all teachers are moving up a salary scale. LA teachers moved to L10 and this new scale is almost equivalent to the former LB pay scale. “We negotiated hard for that,” he said AObdirector Eugenie Stolk earlier.

Substantial salary increase
This month, all one-off payments will be added to that. Bodegraven is proud: “All teachers have made significant gains in wages with this new collective labor agreement. That is certainly evident this month.”
Bodegraven: “School leaders and education support staff do not receive the one-off supplementary payment of 42 percent because the 270 million euros in extra resources by the Ministry of Education were only intended for teacher salaries, as also included in the coalition agreement. They do receive the one-off payment of 750 euros gross and the 2,5 percent wage increase.”
