Decrease in burnout complaints in education
Burnout complaints in education have fallen sharply in the past year. Nevertheless, education remains the leader in burnout compared to other professions.
In National Working Conditions Survey (NEA) of TNO and CBS in 2014, 21 percent of employees in education indicated that they suffered from burn-out symptoms. In the recently published new measurement NEA 2015, this has dropped to 18 percent. With the decrease, education is back to the level of 2011, although due to a different survey method, the results for 2014 are not completely comparable with those for 2014 and later.
In any case, compared to the years of increase, there is now a serious decline. However, education remains far above the average for all employees.
