The care collective FNV / Menzis will stop on 1 January 2019
For the past thirteen years, FNV and health insurer Menzis have worked closely together in the health care collective FNV / Menzis. In this way work and health came together and members of the FNV could take advantage of benefits. This collaboration will end on 1 January 2019. The care collective FNV / Menzis will cease to exist.

The contract with Menzis will run until the end of December. In this summer there is a so-called tend deregistered for which multiple insurers could register. No new agreements emerged from this process. Menzis has announced that it does not want to continue with the collaboration.
What does this mean in concrete terms?
The benefits of the care collective FNV/Menzis expire on 1 January. FNV members can choose to remain insured with Menzis. They will receive a new policy in mid-November, after which they can decide for themselves whether the proposed package is suitable, whether they want to adjust the package or cancel it. New insurance
Collective agreements and discounts have been agreed per sector for colleagues in education in senior secondary vocational education and higher professional education. You can find this on the site of Silver Cross. You can also use this if you have already retired. VGZ also offers VGZ. In primary and secondary education, no agreements have yet been made at sector level. However, there are many schools that have made an appointment themselves, which often include retired employees. You can request this from your (former) employer. The AOb also strives to make agreements for the entire sector for primary and secondary education, in which pensioners can also participate.
