Collective labor agreement result for primary education received positively
The negotiator agreement concluded last week between the unions and employers is positively received. Primary and special education teachers are satisfied with their salary increase. AObprimary education director Eugenie Stolk is pleased with the support she received from teachers in recent days about the negotiation agreement.

“LA salary scale is disappearing,” says Stolk. “In fact, all teachers now go to LB, which is now called scale 'L10'. That is a long-cherished wish for us.”
The support staff (including internal supervisors) and management are also improving, albeit slightly less. “With our actions, we have obtained 270 million euros from the cabinet to increase teacher salaries,” says Stolk. “Those salaries also took the biggest blow. Because the teacher's salary is far behind that of other higher vocational education positions, and the low salary is the cause of the growing shortage of teachers. ”
Pay raise
Support staff and directors, just like the teachers, will receive a general wage increase of 1 percent from 2018 September 2,5. In addition, everyone in primary and special education will receive a supplementary payment from January 1 on 2018 October, in the form of a fixed amount of 750 euros gross. “After tax, relatively more of such an amount remains for support staff in the lower salary scales,” says Stolk. “It was mainly a wish of the AOb to bring in something extra for them. ”
It will also be examined this autumn whether the job descriptions of the teaching support staff and management boards need to be adjusted.
