Transport to Malieveld March 15: you can book now
From now on it is possible to arrange transport to the strike event on the Malieveld. Depending on where you live, transport is by train or bus. AObmembers travel for free, others pay 16 euros. Do you live in the The Hague region? Then the bicycle or local public transport is the easiest way to get to the Malieveld. These are The Hague, Delft, Leidschendam, Rijswijk, Voorburg, Voorschoten, Wassenaar and Zoetermeer. The AOb has not organized separate transport for this group of members. However, the AOb and FNV Education & Research to members who come to the Malieveld 5 euros when they hand in their strike call on the field. You will receive the strike notice at the beginning of March.
Individuals or groups of less than 40 people
You can come to the Malieveld by train or bus from all over the Netherlands. This variant is particularly suitable for individual strikers or delegations from schools and study programs with fewer than XNUMX people. In front of AObmembers and those of FNV Education & Research, transport is free. Non-members pay 16 euros. You can of course travel together, if you sign up at the same time.
Bus or train?
The choice of bus or train depends on the place where you want to board, it is made based on the zip code entered by you. Train tickets are in principle allocated to people who enter postcodes in Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Haarlem, Haarlemmermeer, Dordrecht, Rotterdam and Utrecht. You will receive a code that you can later exchange for a train return The Hague Central that is only valid on Friday 15 March.
There are pick-up points throughout the country for bus travelers. You will come across this during the booking procedure or you can preview it on the site www.transportonderwijsstaking.nl at the bottom under 'boarding locations'. You can also book a bus or train directly on the site.
Book a bus for school or training from 40 people
You can also book a whole bus for your colleagues that stops in front of the school. That is useful if you come with a lot of people. This is also possible from places where individual travelers go by train, such as the Amsterdam region, Haarlem, Rotterdam and Utrecht. There are two variants when booking a whole bus:
- A bus for a minimum of XNUMX people, which is booked by one contact person. For members of the AOb and FNV Education & Research this is free. The contact person must pay 16 euros per person for non-members. The minimum is forty passengers, more is also allowed, because larger buses are also available.
- A separate bus that is fully paid for by the school or training. You pay for a minimum of forty people, but there doesn't have to be forty in it. Are there more? That is also possible, because larger buses are available. For more people you pay per person.
