AOb and Vawo go together
The science union, the Vawo, is likely to go along with the AOb. The associations want to merge on 1 January.

The general meeting of members of the Vawo and that of the AOb speak out on the plans on 29 November. AObdirector Douwe van der Zweep is already looking forward to the AOb will soon represent the interests of staff from primary school to university. “This means we have in-house knowledge of all educational sectors. Just like the AOb the Vawo is a committed club. They also like to think along about the educational content and themes such as equality of opportunity and that goes better when you have all sectors under one roof.
De AOb and FNV Education and Research are also at an advanced stage of collaborate; this fellow union has more than 12 members, many of whom are members in higher professional education and university education.
