AOb retains seats in ABP accountability body
De AOb retains four seats on the accountability body of the ABP pension fund. AObmembers were able to vote in April. The result is now known.

The ABP accountability body is a kind of employee participation council. The representatives in it supervise the ABP board, give advice and contribute ideas about policy. Candidates sit on the accountability body on behalf of workers, pensioners and employers.
In the group of workers, the AOb retained three seats. Auke van Nie (higher vocational education teacher), Iris Offermans (chemistry teacher) and Agnes Tay (higher vocational education teacher) received the most votes. In the group of pensioners, Arie de Graaf is for the AOb chosen. De Graaf has also been on the accountability body in recent years. He keeps his seat.
Sustainability
Together with the FNV, the AOb is committed to a solidarity-based and collective pension within the accountability body. The AOb believes that ABP should not count itself rich, but also not unnecessarily poor, as in recent years. An eye for people and the environment when making investments is of great importance to the AOb. from Nie said earlier: “For example, we have helped ABP to do more in terms of sustainability. The ABP must invest, but as responsibly as possible. That is now further translated into policy. ”
According to the ABP Electoral Commission, more than 64 votes have been cast for the working group. That is a turnout of 5,85 percent. The turnout was 11,55 percent higher for the retired group. The AOb is part of the ACOP fraction together with the FNV. This fraction is largest in the group of workers.
Satisfied
AObsecretary Tamar van Gelder is satisfied that the AOb has managed to keep the number of seats and congratulates all elected candidates.
The representatives have been elected for a period from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022.
