ABP extends survivor's compensation compensation
The ABP pension fund has, at the urgent request of AOb and the other unions decided to extend the current ANW compensation until 1 May 2018.

This means that in the event of death before 1 May 2018, the right to ANW compensation remains under the old conditions. From 1 May, a much broader exception scheme will apply. The ANW compensation will continue to apply under the old conditions for those who are terminally ill before 1 May or cannot take out insurance for any other reason.
Extension
The current ANW compensation scheme will therefore not expire on 1 February, as previously communicated. This extension of three months gives the AOb and the other unions have more time to make agreements with employers about a replacement (semi-) group insurance.
