Network Appropriate Education

The Network for Appropriate Education is committed to the necessary developments to make the implementation of appropriate education a success. We discuss themes that touch on appropriate education and see how we can make an impact ourselves.

What do we do?

The network consists of a group of members who meet online approximately once every 1 to 2 months. The agenda includes current themes that affect the implementation of appropriate education in practice. A few examples of these themes are: the place of appropriate education in teacher training, the developments towards inclusive education and the effects of appropriate education on teaching staff and all students. The agenda depends on what is going on in politics and what members themselves contribute. The large variation in members from regular and special education makes the exchange even more valuable.

The network has several purposes:

• It is a place for exchange and discussion between members about how appropriate education works in practice
• The network provides input for policy developments regarding appropriate and inclusive education
• The network contributes to the determination of AObpositions on the themes of appropriate and inclusive education
• We are working together on opportunities to address the problems surrounding appropriate education more broadly
