Network climate

The Network Climate is a recently started group AOb-ers with a red/green heart, who organize themselves together on this subject.

The group transcends sectors and focuses on various topics:

  • making your own school/institution more sustainable
  • climate in the curriculum
  • concerns about climate: how do we convert emotions into action
  • international solidarity and action

The climate crisis is now

It is not without reason that 'No jobs on a dead planet' is the slogan European trade union umbrella organization ETUC Also within the AOb the realization is dawning that we must make climate a top priority. There are more than enough starting points for this. Education must play a key role in the rapid transition we have to go through. How do we ensure that our members connect well with this? And our pupils and students are among the generations that will have to face the climate crisis. How can our members support them in this as best as possible? It  AOb network climate searches together for answers to these questions.

What we do

Our network is still developing and there is plenty of room to become active on a topic or theme/idea that interests you. We are currently working on, among other things:

  • Writing a climate vision for the AOb
  • Supporting members in making their own school/institution more sustainable
  • Climate in the classroom/curriculum: tools and good examples
  • Information and training for AOb-members of climate freak to science college
